We moved into our apartment over the weekend and we’re slowly getting things set up. If you’re interested, here are a few pictures of what 30,000 Sri Lankan rupees (about $275 CAD) per month will get you.
As you’ll see it’s pretty bare right now, however it’s about 900 square feet of space and I think a little bigger than our place in Regina. And, we have a spare bedroom with a bed, so if you’re in the area stop by for a rest.
Here’s where we enter our second floor abode. Very nice curb appeal.
Pretty bare living room right now, but Trina will waste no time at all filling this baby up with stuff we’ll have to leave behind.
Here’s the master bedroom. As Trina is demonstrating, the bed supplied is not designed for the dimensions of two healthy Canadians. Believe it or not, we do fit.
Here’s where Trina will make Sri Lankan food magic.
Here’s our humble bathroom. Things to notice are the pink towel, the dyed-red mop, and the shower and the toilet only a few feet apart. Finally, I’ve been able to cut out the middle man while showering. For any plumbers out there, the floor drain is just behind the toilet.
